- Background
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all entries submitted for The Better Canada Institute Awards (BCIA). By submitting an application, you agree to be bound by these rules. In the event you are nominating a third party, we contact them to get their consent.
1.2 The Better Canada Institute (BCI) reserves the right to cancel or amend the award rules if an event outside of our reasonable control occurs. BCI will display any changes to the award rules on the website and via email notification.
1.3 Any decision made by BCI in relation to any dispute about these rules, eligibility, and all other matters relating to the Awards are final.
- Applications
2.1 You agree that the application will not feature or use any images or words that are in any way untrue, misleading, libellous, defamatory, racist, harassing, or threatening.
2.2 BCI reserves the right to disqualify a nominee if there are reasonable grounds to believe that a nominee or nominator breached these terms and conditions.
- Use of Entries
3.1 By submitting an application, you confirm that your entry does not infringe any third-party rights, such as intellectual property and privacy rights
3.2 You agree that BCIA and third parties authorized on our behalf, including sponsors and media outlets, may make your entry available for external and internal communications purposes.
3.3 By submitting an application, both the nominee and nominator agree to opt-in to all BCI Communications in order to receive important notices regarding the status of their application and all BCI related news and updates.
3.4 BCI ensures all communications are in accordance with Canadian anti-spam laws.
